Cambridge Judge Business School

Development of an Educational
Portal with Different Access Levels

Project Overview

The objective of this project was to create a mentor management system and develop access levels for mentors and administrators. After the project’s implementation, students can find information about departments and study programs, news, and university history on the website. The platform helps organize communication between the school's mentors and students.

Project Context

The purpose of this project is to create an adaptive website for the Cambridge Judge Business School. The institution is a part of the department of business and management of Cambridge University.

Cambridge Judge Business School is ranked among the best business schools in the world. The Cambridge MBA academic program holds leading positions in the ratings of Bloomberg, Financial Times, Business Insider, U.S. News & World Report, and Forbes.

Differentiators

To meet the client’s specific needs, we have developed two access levels: for an administrator and a mentor.

Using the Vue.js framework, we have made the user interface adaptive using the SPA approach.

We have also ensured the application’s security through the ASP.NET Core identity platform.

This means that users can view and edit only the information they have access to.

Key Features and
Highlights

  • One of the key features of this project is the two access levels of the app.
  • One level is intended for the users with administrator rights, the other - for mentors.
  • The administrator can create accounts for the mentors and change their passwords if access to the account is lost.
  • In addition, the mentors can view and edit only the information they have access to.

Delivered Solutions

To provide an effective solution for this problem, we have developed a simple and intuitive interface. In addition to the home page, we've made three sections: "Studying at Cambridge," "About the University," and "Researches in Cambridge."

We have added the list and description of available educational programs to the slide, set up the integration with social networks, and added a section to upload publications from official school accounts.
