Client and Business Goals

An Asian recruitment company was seeking to digitize their business and build a market-leading web solution that would tackle recruitment-specific challenges. The key idea was to enable employers with access to a constantly updating CV database and a job postings platform. Job seekers, in their turn, would access a user-friendly tool for job search across the local and international markets. Both parties would enjoy additional paid services, including subscriptions.

The platform engineering project had started long before the client turned to AIS Novations. The first contractor delivered poor code quality and managed to cover less than 15% of the scope while putting the project at risk. Code refactoring was the major task for the new software development outsourcer.


The client’s primary concern was if our team succeeded with refactoring within the pressing timelines, no matter the tangled code mess, before they move to implementing the new scope. We managed to complete code review within two weeks to ensure a solid footing for further functionality development.


After a double-quick code review and bug fixing, our team continued working to help the client finalize and launch their product — a custom recruitment web platform that provides efficient and convenient self-service for applicants and a centralized talent pipeline for employers. We developed additional functionality both for the admin and client’s module, and suggested multiple UI/UX improvements to enable responsiveness on mobile devices.
